What is HMW About?

Houston Money Week is a collaborative, city-wide initiative with a longstanding commitment to advancing financial literacy for all Houstonians since 2008. What began as a single week in April to honor Financial Literacy Month has grown into a month-long series
of events led by local partners—and has since evolved into a year-round movement. Today, Houston Money Week serves as a united effort to promote free financial literacy events across the Greater Houston area, advocate for financial wellness, and empower residents through signature programs like Every Teens Program, our annual All-Partner
Conference, and our year-end Holiday Social.

We are on a mission to build economic awareness and monetary sustainability for the advancement of all people in the Greater Houston area—no matter their color, religion, creed, or income—by offering innovative, collaborative efforts that deliver actionable education and create immediate, lasting impact. Our vison is a thriving Houston where every resident has access to innovative, collaborative solutions that delivers, actionable financial education and immediate Impact to meet people where they are.
